The Bias Incident Hotline Project is a community project dedicated to assisting those who have experienced or witnessed bias motivated incidents and crimes. By providing phone support, resources, and advocacy we strive to reduce systemic oppression and bias in our community. Through anonymous reporting we promote awareness, provide education and influence policy change.
- The primary goal of the hotline is to provide immediate support, assistance, and resource referral for any person who has experienced or witnessed a bias motivated incident including those that do not reach the level of a criminal, civil or ordinance violation.
- The hotline will also serve as a reporting system to document the nature and extent of incidents occurring in our community and identify policies and practices that will alleviate and eventually eliminate bias in our community.
